I have tried tons of other scents, around 20 and I hadn't quite found anything that really fit me yet. So nice when you first spray it, the extreme has like a gin or juniper scent, real manly and real clean but not at all like aftershave. After about fifteen twenty minutes it gets real polite like a clean vanilla but not at all like a flower. It smells soft and super wafty almost like a less sweet Burberry but not at all like baby powder.
floaty non intrusive and not too sweet. If you hate the strong aftershave smell and the cotton candy machine smell as much as I do or you find yourself spraying cologne on more than once a day then this is your best bet.

dedicated wet shaver
Proraso Shave Cream is the best bang for the buck in hi-end, non drugstore shave creams. I've tried them all and keep coming back to proraso. The texture, consistency and effectiveness of the cream are first rate - and you don't need a badger hair brush! I initially missed using a brush at first, but don't miss all the product I wasted that were left behind in the bristles. Couple proraso with a good safety razor (may I suggest Merkur) and you'll get a shave that trounces anything a Mach III can throw at you. Trust me.

Considering that Proraso:

b) Is the most popular shave cream among barbers in Italy;
AND that

In a sense, this shaving cream ought to be the equivalent of the best-selling gun in the USA.

How is it in actual use? Terrific! I had tried before several formulae, from soap to super-engineered creams and never come across something like this. In fact, it took a promotion for me to return to the old shaving cream tube--thinking that I would need a brush, etc. And I am glad I did for I only need to squeeze very little on my palm and work it into foam. The net effect is a smooth and close shave with an old time flavor to it, nothing more, nothing less. Both the blade and my skin seem to thank me for this shaving cream.

Smells great
I love the aroma of this shave cream. It may brighten your mood even if you are not in mood. It very well moisturizes and cools the skin. Overall it is an upper scale product and is worthy the price.

Amazing light, summery scent, with even more amazing, but lesser known technology built into it.
Lacoste Essential is an amazing scent. I have recieved quite a few compliments regarding this fragrance, the main tone of this cologne (haha, that rhymes..) is because one of the main ingredients is pepper (seriously). After the main, spicy tone, it fades off into a light-semi citrus end-note.
The cologne is perfect for spring into summer time, especially when you sweat. Why when you sweat? Lacoste Essential is probably one of the ONLY colognes in the world that uses a technology (forgive me, the name escapes me) in which it reactivates itself when body temperature goes up. It has a life of about 3-5 hours before it begins to fade, however, say you use this cologne, and after a few hours, begin to sweat, or get heated up by any event, the cologne will re-activate and the scent will return like it was sprayed not too long ago. Works GREAT for athletes or for those who work outside, even the nervous types will find this technology very useful. Don't forget, the scent of any cologne is amplified by each person's individual scent! I would definatley recommend this.

Light but masculine
I don't usually wear cologne but when I first smelt this, it was amazing. The unique smell was fresh and light, but lasted almost the whole day. Only one spray was needed. If you don't like cologne with a spicy heavy sent, this is the one to wear.

The best male fragrance I have ever smelled
I am in love with this perfume, when my boyfriend wears it I feel totally seduced by it. Boys, if you want to smell rreeeaallyy good wear Lacoste Essential ;) but beware of hickies!!!

Red Ripe Sweet
Fruity with melon, apple tang, and orchids, with a sweetness that is bright and forward but still light on the nose. Any depth comes from hints of cedar wood, vetivert, and water-like scent in the fading. It's attitude is happy and robust. It's not the longest lasting scent, but that's ideal when playtime is over and the evening calls for a fragrance with romantic depth.

LOVE THIS STUFF!
This is definitely one of the better smelling fragrances out there. Maybe a little pricey but really worth it IMO.

Nice Scent But A Bit Overwhelming
Hello, A friend recently gave a bottle with a bit left it(about 2 weeks or so worth of spray-age) at first I loved the smell but after 20 minutes or so I couldn't stand the smell, I couldn't wait to get home and change out of my shirt. Got a few complaints about that "too strong smell" from the ladies and even a male friend. :(
It's a great scent but I found way to overwhelming. I'll stick to my Armani Code.
